1. Synthesize and communicate, in written, oral and electronic formats, the most significant ideas and results of your work with clarity and precision.
The link to the right is to a paper I had to write for one of my classes, this paper is about how Tupac Shakur is an inspirational leader, and I will be using it as an artifact for this topic.
To write this paper I had to research for days, I read articles, watched interviews, and studied his lyrics with his songs playing on repeat. It was challenging to gather all of the information needed to write such a long paper but once I had the information the paper essentially formatted itself. I believe that this paper effectively creates the image of him that I was going for. His life was horrible, yet he stayed resilient and continued to lead through his struggles.
I believe that I am a great writer, I, like Tupac, make my own music. I have been making music since I was a child, and I believe that it has helped me with my writing of papers as well. Because of this, I believe that I am great at communicating through any means that allows me to sit and think about what I am going to say.
On the other hand, if we are speaking orally, I do not have the time to articulate my response and instead must say what I feel in the moment. I am fine with speaking in person MOST of the time, but if it is a heated conversation I may have the tendency to shut down or lash out. I have come a long way since my childhood and have a way greater grasp of control on these outbursts but very rarely I still slip up when I am bothered, and I say things I should not say.
Overall, I would say I am good at synthesizing and communicating the most significant ideas of my work but there is a slim possibility in specific situations where I may lack the control required to orally represent my findings.
